Effort Tracking - Information
Effort Tracking focuses on shifting schools’ cultural success-focus from academic achievement alone, towards more nurturing indicators of long-term growth through effort. A focus on effort, reduces the stress and anxiety felt by many students from the pressures of high-stakes tests and examinations. It also decreases the "don’t try, can’t fail" mindset, prevalent in many students’ thinking. Effort Tracking is a formative reporting framework that employs a measure of student effort (an active and volitional type of academic engagement), graded from both teacher and student perspectives, using a research-validated multidimensional effort construct.
